BICYCLE QUILT

This wall hanging is a smaller version of a design by Piece O'Cake Designs called "I Want to Ride my Bicycle." It's for my youngest brother's birthday. Fun to make and quilt! I used Heat N Bond Lite for the bike applique.

In the "ta-DA!" department, presenting "the" video!  Sorry I have to do it by link, but computing is not my strong suit.  :-)

This is my go-to design for edge-to-edge quilting.  I call it "C's" but it's more of a hooked paisley.  For me, it flows.  And no, the longarm doesn't need oiling, it's just that the phone picked up the noise of it.  A lot.  :-)

Here's another one I've been using a lot lately - swirls a la Jamie Wallen.  His method just clicked with me.  :-)

Quilts for Kids

Here are some examples of my recent work for Quilts for Kids.  I highly recommend supporting this wonderful charity! (Top collage picture - all quilts made by my talented sister-in-law, Kim!!  Thanks, Kim!!)

Wedding Quilt

My small quilting group recently put together this lap quilt for one of the members and her new husband.  Congratulations Anna and Jason!  I used rulers and free-hand designs to quilt it on the longarm. It's a  bit nerve wracking to make a quilt for another quilter because they KNOW things.... 😊

Goodbye 2018!

Warning! Picture-heavy post here. This is QUILT 300 on my longarm! So since July 5, 2017, I've quilted 300 quilts!  If I've quilted one of your quilts, be sure to check your email later today for a special coupon. I would love to quilt for you again!
So without further ado,  here is Quilt 300!! (And I should clarify that this quilt comes from Quilts for Kids; I didn't make it and I don't know what the pattern is....sorry)  Happy New Year!!

"What have you been up to lately?"

I've been quilting, quilting, and quilting!  That's the short answer. The longer one involves a bit of outpatient surgery for ear tube and adenoidectomy...and the recovery from that. But all is well now (and yeah, I can hear again!) so back to all that quilting.  Catching up on Quilts for Kids and Quilts of Valor, also throwing in this fabulous quilt by Marcia and Emily for Marcia's daughter. Sew darling, and sew fun to quilt it!

Here's one of the Quilts of Valor. Only doing a few a month for them at this point.

So that's it for now. Gotta get back to quilting! 😎

A Birthday Quilt

A few weeks ago, while my husband was out of town, I pieced and longarmed this quilt for his birthday. The worst part was him thinking I was just sitting around the whole week because I couldn't tell him what I had been doing with my time!  ;-)  But now his milestone birthday has come and gone and he loves his quilt....although it's way too hot to need to use it right now.
